Contact Centres

Cumbria Family Support contact centres help maintain a child and parent relationship by providing a safe, friendly, neutral space where children can spend time with the parent they no longer live with.

We currently provide supported contact at our centres in Carlisle, Eden and Kendal.  Support from staff and volunteers is close at hand if needed. The centres run sessions fortnightly on a Saturday between 9am and 1pm in Carlisle and Penrith and 2pm to 4pm in Kendal.

How to access the contact centre

To access the Contact Centre, an initial chat with our Centre Co-Ordinator is required, to assess the suitability of the environment we offer and criteria for access. The parents or grandparents must then submit a completed and signed referral form to the Centre Manager for final approval. Copies of the self-referral form can be downloaded from our leaflets and forms page, and must be emailed for Carlisle or Penrith: contactcentre@cumbriafamilysupport.org.uk

For Kendal: kendalcc@cumbriafamilysupport.org.uk

In the first instance, please contact our Centre Co-Ordinators
