Volunteers' Week 2025

As 2025 Volunteers’ week draws to a close, here’s a message from our CEO Lynsey Buckle.

“Recently I’ve caught up with a few of our wonderful volunteers to hear about the families they support and why they volunteer. Their stories have been so inspiring and humbling.

Our organisation was built on volunteering, and it continues to be the reason we can support so many people today.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Cumbria Family Support, they are an incredible bunch of people, and I feel exceptionally proud and grateful to them for all they do for isolated and overwhelmed families across our county.

There’s a lot of exciting things in our future and volunteers are at the heart of all it. My heartfelt thanks to each and every one”.
